WELCOME TO AU POYE PARK

Nestled only 5 minutes away from the community of Fond Gens Libre, which itself is located at the foot of the world famous Gros Piton is this spectacular spot called Au Poye Park. Poye is the creole term for white cedar which is very common in this particular part of the gros piton trail.
The area was inhabited  by the Charles family until hurricane Allen in 1980 destroyed their home forcing them to move to the nearby community of Fond gen libre. The place remained abandoned for quite a long time until Bernard Charles, grandson of Mr Alfred Charles and his wife Charmaine decided to develop the place to its present glory.
